Holidays, and not only in winter, can also be spent in the countryside. You will find peace there, escape the crowds, and spend time sustainably in harmony with nature. It is an international trend that is increasingly penetrating to the Czech Republic. Tips for rural tourism and agritourism under the brand Holidays in the countryside are now available on the Kudy z nudy portal. And inspiration can be found as well in some episodes of the jubilee 10th season of the Herbář show.
There are many things to do in the countryside. Ride a horse, try crafts or taste local delicacies. Usually, the countryside more than the city allows to get to know traditions and local creations and to switch to a more relaxed holiday mode. That is also why in cooperation with the Czech Tourism Authority - CzechTourism and the Association of Rural Tourism and Agritourism was the project Holidays in the countryside created. It helps with selecting quality services and experiences in the countryside.
"The goal of the Holiday in the countryside brand is to make Czech countryside more visible and to show that it is a wonderful place for a vacation for the whole family. It will satisfy even more demanding travellers, the country can be experienced, among other things, in castle hotels, stylish guesthouses or glampings. It also offers great gastronomic experiences, because what's better than a dinner prepared from fresh local ingredients," says Jan Herget, Director of the Czech Tourism Authority – CzechTourism and adds: "As part of our joint project with the Association of Rural Tourism and Agritourism, rural facilities that offer great accommodation and experiences can receive a Holidays in the countryside label."
Currently, Farma Klokočov or Chateau Mcely, for example, can use the Holidays in the countryside label. In these places, a visitor can enjoy the countryside with quality, originally, in a complex and funny way, with all the senses.
"Holidays in the countryside is a brand that not only helps to find an unforgettable rural vacation, but equally helps rural tourism and agritourism entrepreneurs to improve their services through individual consultancy, experience sharing and educational seminars with leading experts in marketing, social networks, accommodation and experience services. Cooperation with the agency CzechTourism and Kudy z nudy in turn ensures promotion for certified entities in the Czech Republic and abroad too," says Zdenka Nosková, Chairwoman of the Association of Rural Tourism and Agritourism.
"All facilities involved in the Holidays in the countryside project offer besides quality accommodation also experiences. They can be related, for example, to a farm, gastronomy, local products, interactive programs for children, crafts, etc.," says Veronika Janečková, Director of the Department of Product Management and Regional Cooperation of the Czech Tourism Authority – CzechTourism and adds: "Everything is done with the aim of enabling travellers to get to the roots, to find out for themselves what sustainability, a stay in nature and authentic country mean in practice."
