Today is World Tourism Day. September 27 has been celebrated as the anniversary of tourism since 1980, under the banner of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This year with a focus on future of this sector. The main celebrations started yesterday in Bali and are going to last until September 28. Among other things, a conference with the subtitle "Rethinking
Experts on tourism are discussing the transformations of the area after the pandemic crisis and show the fundamental importance of the sector for every country and the world as such. They also point to the benefits and importance of a comprehensive overview and solution of tourism. They emphasize that the tourist industry needs to be perceived and managed in all contexts. Which means thinking about people, the environment, the economy and sustainable development. There is also a discussion about the new setting of the partnership between private and public spheres.
As Jan Herget, Director of the Czech Tourism Authority - CzechTourism, said earlier: "Tourism is one of the main pillars of the export of services in the Czech Republic, and it´s a key economic sector in Prague and on the border."
