The 2026 spa season in Czechia is starting. Almost one million guests visited the spa last year
Domestic spa towns come alive again with festivities, opening of springs, concerts and cultural festivals. Interest in the spa industry continues to grow. In 2025 alone, a total of 982,000 guests visited spa accommodation facilities in Czechia. There were 556 thousand domestic visitors, and over 426 thousand foreign visitors. The largest concentration of guests has traditionally been recorded in the Karlovy Vary Region, which remains the flagship of the Czech spa industry. Prague as a hub of global tourism. The capital hosts Czechia Travel Trade Day 2026
For two days, Prague is transforming into a vibrant hub of global tourism. On 20 and 21 April, it is hosting the largest incoming tourism event in Czechia – Czechia Travel Trade Day 2026, organised annually by the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism, this year in cooperation with Prague City Tourism and regional tourism organisations. To build on a successful year and to push the perception of Czechia on the world markets even further. This is the aim of the new global campaign "Feel free", which has just been launched by the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism . The new strategy builds on the unique atmosphere, authenticity and freedom of choice that Czechia offers to visitors. At the same time, it shifts the communication from the sights themselves to the feeling that visitors are supposed to take away from Czechia.
