HomeExtreme rainfall and subsequent floods hit Czechia
Unfortunately, meteorologists' predictions came true and a flood wave swept through the northeast of the Czech Republic over the weekend. The rainfall continues and flooding is threatening in various parts of the country.
"We are thinking of all those affected by high water and those living in areas where flooding may still occur. We are preparing, within our means, to help the affected regions," says Director of the Czech Tourist Authority - CzechTourism František Reismüller.

What is important?
  • Cooperate with the Integrated Rescue System (IRS): Follow the instructions of firefighters and police officers during evacuation and safety precautions.
  • Strong precipitation: over the weekend mainly affected the Jeseníky and Beskydy mountains.
  • Assistance to affected regions: To help with in-kind donations, focus on bottled water and non-perishable food. These can be given to food banks.
