HomeSustainable gastronomy in Czechia scores points in the first ever domestic MICHELIN guide
Czech gastronomy has received further international recognition. This year, for the first time, the MICHELIN guide evaluated restaurants across Czechia and also highlighted the sustainable approach to cooking. Four Czech restaurants were awarded the prestigious MICHELIN Green Star, which recognises responsibility towards nature, local ingredients and sustainable operation.

The award confirms that sustainability is becoming a solid part of modern Czech gastronomy and also one of the important topics of tourism. MICHELIN Guide inspectors among other things monitor how businesses use products from local producers, use seasonal food in their dishes, minimise waste or apply traditional or innovative techniques such as fermentation or permaculture. In other words, whether they take the environment into account in their business.
