On 10 February 2026, a total of 15 Czech and Moravian wineries brought the best of their production to Paris and addressed more than a hundred key personalities of the French gastronomy and wine trade during a single evening. In the representative premises of the Embassy of Czechia, the producers presented a modern and confident image of domestic winemaking. The meeting followed the international Wine Paris 2026 festival (9-11 February 2026), which is one of the most important industry events in Europe.
Strong line-up and clear goal
The presentation was prepared by the CzechTourism Foreign Representation in Paris together with the City of Brno, the South Moravian Region, the National Wine Centre, CzechTrade and the Ministry of Agriculture. The partners have joined forces with the clear objective of strengthening the awareness of Czech and Moravian wine on the prestigious international scene and opening up further business and media opportunities for winemakers.

The event attracted over a hundred guests from among wine professionals, representatives of the Paris City Hall, Michelin Guide, buyers, journalists and travel agencies. It was the diverse mix of guests that gave the evening a distinctive strategic dimension.

The winemakers presented a representative cross-section of current production – from fresh white varieties to full-bodied red wines. The tasting was led by renowned oenologist Klára Kollárová, who placed the individual samples in the context of tradition and current trends. The guests thus got to know not only specific brands, but also the gastronomic and touristic potential of South Moravia and other parts of Czechia.

The organisers served wine in glasses of the Květná 1794 company, one of the oldest Czech glass manufacturers, which underlined the emphasis on quality and continuity of craftsmanship.

Brno and South Moravia in the lead role
The programme was complemented by a presentation of the city of Brno and the region of South Moravia. Martina Pospíšilová from the local marketing and tourism office presented the region as a dynamic destination that combines wine, gastronomy, architecture and culture. Guests also tasted chocolate from a local chocolate factory in Brno and were inspired to visit the region.

„We are very pleased that the guests arrived in such large numbers and we had the opportunity to introduce them to the Czech wine tradition, Moravian hospitality and diverse gastronomy. Together, we showed the best of Czechia to an international audience in the heart of Paris, says Markéta Dianová, Director of the Foreign Representation of CzechTourism in Paris.

The Paris evening confirmed that Czech and Moravian wines are building an increasingly strong position on the international scene. The combination of quality wine, strong regions and professional presentation can convincingly present Czechia even in the cradle of world winemaking.
