The meeting will connect Czech tourism entrepreneurs with foreign tour operators, buyers and journalists. The aim of the event is to support the business of domestic tourism entrepreneurs and at the same time promote Czechia abroad.
„Czechia Travel Trade Day is a key event for us. Through it we connect Czech entrepreneurs with foreign partners and together we look for new opportunities for the development of inbound tourism. Prague is an ideal place for such a meeting – it is easily accessible, acts as a natural gateway to Czechia and offers an extremely diverse range of tourist experiences,“ says Director of the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism František Reismüller.
Guests from more than 20 countries will arrive in the capital this year, including several dozen buyers and 20 journalists. Representatives from key foreign markets will meet in the capital to seek new opportunities for cooperation and inspiration for travel offers to Czechia.
Two days full of business, inspiration and new contacts
This year's edition will offer mainly space for intensive business meetings and networking. Participants can look forward to dozens of pre-arranged meetings with foreign tour operators and directors of foreign CzechTourism representative offices. The programme will also include product managers from the agency, who will present specific tourist products and new ways to present and offer Czechia to foreign visitors.
The first day will also include a panel discussion focused on current tourism topics. The second day will offer a presentation of the destination Czechia and other formats for sharing experiences and developing cooperation between participants.
„We have prepared this year's programme to be as practical as possible and to bring participants maximum contacts and concrete results. We will offer business meetings with foreign tour operators and directors of our foreign representative offices on both days of the event, and we will also involve CzechTourism product managers who will present specific tourism products. We are thus expanding the possibilities of meetings and adding new formats that bring inspiration and a broader perspective on the further development of tourism in Czechia,“ adds Director of Product Management, Research and B2B Cooperation Tereza Hofmanová.
Gala Evening and getting to know the regions
This year's gala will also take place at the Slavonic House and will offer a space for informal meetings and further networking. But the programme is far from over. The CzechTourism agency is cooperating with the regional tourism centres and also with Prague City Tourism, which provides part of the activities in the capital city.
In addition to Prague, foreign guests will also visit Central Bohemia, Liberecký, Olomouc, Pardubice or Plzeň regions or Vysočina. The prepared programmes will present historical monuments, traditional crafts and contemporary tourist experiences and will help to expand the offer of foreign tour operators to new destinations outside the capital.
Registration for Czech participants opens on March 10 and runs until March 27 or until capacity is reached. Participants will then schedule specific business meetings via the online platform.
An event that connects Czechia to the world
Czechia Travel Trade Day is held in a different city each year to give foreign guests a taste of Czechia in all its diversity. In the past, the event has taken place in Hradec Králové, Brno, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice, Liberec, Plzeň, Olomouc and Ostrava, among others.
The largest domestic workshop to promote arrivals to Czechia shows the whole world that visiting our country is definitely worthwhile. Czechia Travel Trade Day connects Czech tourism with the world and opens new opportunities for its further development.
