The basic objective of CzechTourism is to promote the Czech Republic as a tourism destination both abroad and in the Czech Republic.

To achieve this goal, CzechTourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism of the Czech Republic, performs the following main tasks:

Coordination of tourism activities
Support for the all-round development of tourism, cooperation in the field of tourism with state and local government authorities, professional organisations, schools, research and consultancy institutions and analogous foreign institutions, financial institutions and other activities related to the provision of coordination tasks.

Destination Marketing
Providing, supporting and coordinating marketing activities in domestic and foreign markets,
Creating a favourable image of the tourist destination "Czech Republic" and its promotion on the domestic and especially foreign market,
Determining and developing priority products characteristic for the destination Czech Republic,
Supporting the creation of environmentally friendly tourism products,
publishing promotional materials about the Czech Republic in the relevant language versions, cooperation with regions in the Czech Republic, involvement in the creation of natural tourism areas, acting in their tourist development and making them more attractive,establishing representations abroad in order to inform foreign journalists, professionals and the general public about the tourism offer in the Czech Republic, all-round support for the sale of national tourism products and other activities related to the tasks of destination marketing.

Media presentation of the Czech Republic, the tourism sector and the CzechTourism agency
Ensuring cooperation with domestic and foreign journalists and media, and other activities related to ensuring the objectives of media presentation.

Information support for tourism
Information service for the tourism industry in the Czech Republic, in particular the publication of specialist reports, the content and content of which will be mainly marketing and regional information,
cooperation in the creation of a national tourist information system,
and other activities related to ensuring the objectives of information support.

Research and educational activities
Preparation, organization and implementation of educational activities in the field of tourism and services in order to ensure and maintain the competitiveness of tourism entities in the domestic and foreign market,
outreach to the Czech public to encourage friendly behaviour towards foreign guests and to highlight the importance of tourism for the Czech Republic,
and other activities related to the provision of research and educational tasks.

Economic and administrative support of the Agency
Activities related to the provision of economic and administrative support tasks
