HomeInvestments and news for the winter season 2022/2023
Before the upcoming winter season, Czech mountain resorts invested over 700 million CZK, mostly in environmentally sustainable solutions, e.g. more economical snow cats, the SNOWsat system, storage tanks, snowmaking technology and in the modernization of services. A significant part of the investments goes to the compounds of Dolní Morava, Zadov, Špičák Železná Ruda, SkiResort Černá hora-Pec and Klínovec. The expansion of online systems for purchasing ski passes or booking equipment and accompanying service establishments continues this year as well.
Sustainable technologies and modernization
This year, ski centres invested in the purchase of more ecological and economical technologies. For example, the proven SNOWsat for more efficient snow maintenance on the slopes or more economical snow cats were bought in Dolní Morava, Lipno, SkiResort Černá hora-Pec, Klínovec, in Snowhill Herlíkovice and Snowhill Mariánky.

An important investment is the construction of water storage tanks in Zadov and Dolní Moravia. Modernizing and streamlining of snowmaking have started in Klínovec, Lipno, Monínec, Ještěd, Tanvaldský Špičák and Bílá in Beskydy.

Skiing and ski passes
At Klínovec, skiers can look forward to a new downhill track, which is the longest in the Czech Republic and was created by connecting and modifying existing unused detourable routes. At Kraličák a new lift Sušina will be introduced.

Broadening of self-service ticket offices at slopes to purchase ski passes or to activate tickets purchased online, is still ongoing too. This year, visitors can also find them, for instance, in Dolní Morava, SkiResort Černá hora-Pec, Špindlerův Mlýn, Ještěd or in Bílá v Beskydech.

Facilities and accompanying services
This year have ski centres also invested in improving the quality of facilities and gastronomic establishments, for example at Špičák in Železná Ruda, Ještěd, or Tanvaldský Špičák, where also the lookout tower has been reconstructed.

The youngest visitors are provided with a new children's playground or moving carpets in Tanvaldský Špičák, Přemyslov or Kraličák.
