You can currently see more of the Czech Republic on a number of social networks across continents. The creators of digital content about travel from different countries are publishing their experiences from the Traverse 22 conference. The event, which was attended by 300 people, took place in Brno. An integral part were visits to cultural, natural and other interesting places throughout the whole country. From the enthusiastic reactions, it can be assumed that there will be a huge online reach.
Traverse is a prestigious conference that changes its venue. This year's 9th year took place in Brno in South Moravia, the pre-covid event had home in Italian Trentino in 2019.

"I strongly believe that our Traverse 22 will surpass the numbers from Italy, where due to bloggers, YouTubers and other digital creators, 150 million impressions were hit," says Director of the Czech Tourism Authority - CzechTourism Jan Herget and adds: "If we consider the fact, that CzechTourism's investment in Traverse was approximately CZK 1.5 million, we can expect big financial return and impact on networks from people whom travelers trust and who inspire them to visit the Czech Republic, Brno and South Moravia."

In addition to the conference, CzechTourism together with the municipality of Brno and the South Moravia Tourism Authority, also prepared experiential programs. It was thus possible to experience the true atmosphere of Brno and the entire South Moravian region, during guided tours of Brno villas, cooking lessons or a visit to the Lednice-Valtice area, for instance.

"I personally discovered how friendly and wonderful the place of Brno and Moravia itself is," says Traverse events Director Michael Ball and adds: „All participants of the Czech Traverse 22 had the right to choose what they want to experience. They could choose from many different experiences, hikes, events or trips. Eleven different routes followed on the two-day conference in Brno across Czechia, from Karlovy Vary to Ostrava."

The fact that everything happened as it should have, is confirmed by the reactions of people who participated in Traverse 22. For example, Michael Tomas from London Viewpoints says: “The conference was organized at the highest level. Great speakers, amazing Traverse & Czech team that organized everything down to the last detail. Brno was great, I only took part in few tours during the week, but I experienced a lot of fun and unique opportunities on them, such as visiting the roof of the Continental Hotel, which quite surprised me."

Michael, together with almost a hundred people, went on post trips to other regions of Czechia after a busy conference educational program. He visited, for example, Křišťálové údolí in Liberecko, where he really liked it: "The post trip was very well organized. Thanks to an excellent communication before the trip and online itineraries, we were all looking forward to it. Our guides were really helpful. The route of our tour was perfectly varied so it satisfied the interests of most, although the main theme was the tradition of glass-making.“

Jakub Šeps, Head of the Tourism Department of the Regional Authority of the Liberec Region describes how had everything been set up: "The preparation process itself was absolutely brilliant, professional and even exemplary. We handled the event with sufficient time in advance, the program was excellently presented in the Travefy online platform, and I could go on like this. I'm glad for the great feedback. We consider Traverse 2022 to be a very successful event, and I'm talking about both the conference itself in Brno and the following post tours."

Bella Falk from Passport and Pixels was literally blown away by her visit to the Czech Republic. It was her first visit of the country. “The Traverse conference was amazing – superbly organised, everything ran smoothly and the whole event was a pleasure. I really liked Brno and it was wonderful to see another part of the Czech Republic outside of Prague. Thanks for organizing all the tours and experiences during the week and the conference itself, and for putting together such a great program. It was definitely one of the best travel conferences I've ever been to. And a huge thankyou for organizing the post-trip, which was absolutely great. It really was a model of how a press trip should be organized, a great program with an excellent balance between culture, photography and activities.”

Bella, among other things, visited South Bohemia. Jaroslava Janečková from the local Tourism Authority, which participated in the preparation of the program says: "I am very glad that we got involved, because within foreign markets, cooperation with bloggers is the best possible form of promoting the region and Traverse is an event that has prestige and a great name. The bloggers liked it here and took it really seriously, they were running around all days with mobiles and cameras and really worked hard. We are looking forward very much to their output."

Digital content based on the Traverse 22 conference is created continuously and can be expected in the future too. Whether it is blogs, posts, articles, photos or videos. "Post tours throughout the whole Czech Republic, experiences in Brno and in the South Moravian Region were a key element of the entire project," says Katarína Hobbs, Director of the CzechTourism Foreign Office for Great Britain and Ireland and adds: "With the help and excellent cooperation of the regions, we could offer the best to the participants, providing an opportunity to create an organic and authentic content which is the best advertisement for every destination.”

A thanks for the cooperation belongs to all the regions of the Czech Republic that participated in the event organization of Traverse 22. And also to partners, when, for example, České dráhy provided tickets for sightseeing tours and Budvar beer for the final gala evening.
