China is rediscovering Czechia. CzechTourism introduced regions, gastronomy and spas in four metropolises

From Beijing to Shanghai. During a two-week mission in China, the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism presented Czechia's offer to representatives of dozens of travel agencies and industry experts. It was accompanied by five partners from the Czech tourism industry on a roadshow in four Chinese capitals, and at the subsequent ITB China fair in Shanghai it presented the offer together with VegaTour. A series of business meetings and presentations confirmed that the Czech Republic still has a strong name on the Chinese market and is able to impress not only with Prague, but also with its spa, gastronomy, nature and regional experiences. Kazakh travel agencies discovered Czech spas. Karlovy Vary hosted talks on new clientele from Central Asia

Czech spas still have a strong name in Central Asia and interest in them is growing. This was confirmed by a recent fam trip of representatives of leading Kazakh travel agencies who visited Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně, Františkovy Lázně, Poděbrady and Prague within a few days. They saw for themselves why Czech spas hold such a strong position among visitors. They tried spa treatments, got to know local services and met representatives of Czech hotels and spa facilities. The programme also included a B2B workshop in Karlovy Vary, which opened up space for new business partnerships. The sightseeing trip followed last year's series of roadshows in Astana, Almaty and Shymkent. The Czech Tourism Centre - CzechTourism organised it within the framework of PROPED economic diplomacy projects in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Astana. Czech cuisine is conquering Europe. Vienna's Schweizerhaus receives first European certification for Czech Specials

Czech gastronomy continues its foreign campaign. After two establishments in Tokyo, the legendary Viennese restaurant Schweizerhaus, where locals, tourists and lovers of honest Central European cuisine have been heading for decades, has also been certified Czech Specials. The iconic establishment in the heart of the Prater has become the first restaurant in Europe to boast this label outside Czechia. It confirms that Czech cuisine, Czech beer and the atmosphere of traditional pubs also appeal to guests outside Czechia. The most important meeting of European tourism leaders returns to Czechia after more than ten years. Prague hosts the 132nd semi-annual meeting of the European Tour Operators Association (ECTAA), which brings together more than fifty representatives of travel agencies, associations and the tourism business from all over Europe. The two-day event is also a strong platform for the development of business cooperation between Czech partners and travel agencies and tour operators across Europe. The main themes of this year's meeting, which takes place from 28-29 May 2026, are the impact of the situation in the Middle East on European tourism, travel safety, the evolution of bookings and the resilience of the entire industry. Prague will be connected to Hanoi by a direct flight, operated twice a week by Vietjet Air

The Vietnamese capital Hanoi will be closer than ever from Prague. From 10 October 2026, the Vietnamese low-cost airline Vietjet Air will fly twice a week on this route. Prague will thus become the first European destination of this carrier. New line between Prague and Philadelphia starts, over 57,000 passengers expected to use it during the summer

Prague Airport is significantly expanding its long-haul offer with a new direct connection to Philadelphia, USA. The new route was inaugurated today at Prague Airport by American Airlines in the presence of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, Minister of Transport Ivan Bednárik and the US Ambassador to Prague Nicholas Merrick.
