Almost 23.6 million guests stayed in Czechia last year. Tourism continues to grow and confirms the country's strong position in Europe

Tourism in Czechia has had another strong year. Nearly 23.6 million guests arrived at domestic hotels, guesthouses and other mass accommodation facilities (HUZ) in 2025, spending 59.1 million nights there. Thus, not only the number of arrivals but also overnight stays by domestic and foreign tourists increased year-on-year. For foreigners, the number of nights grew faster than arrivals, confirming the trend of longer stays. In total, 53.7% (12.6 million) were domestic tourists, while 46.3% (10.9 million) were foreign visitors. The average length of stay was 3.5 days. The highest number of visitors was reported by Prague, South Moravia and South Bohemia. The Karlovy Vary and Hradec Kralove regions followed the capital in the number of overnight stays. Read more…

In November 2025, Czechia presented itself to representatives of travel agencies and travel advisors from the USA as an attractive and premium destination in Central Europe. The country was featured at the Signature Travel Network Annual Conference in Las Vegas along with Slovakia, Poland and Hungary under the Discover Central Europe brand. Czechia is again visible at FITUR Madrid 2026, the interest of Spaniards in the country continues

FITUR Madrid 2025, the largest tourism fair for Spanish-speaking countries, has started and Czechia is there. The event attracts around a quarter of a million visitors each year, both professionals and the public. This year's 46th edition takes place from 21 to 25 January 2026 and fills nine halls of the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre. More than 10,000 companies from 161 countries participate in the fair, with 111 countries having an official national stand on site. The partner country is Mexico. Read more…

The European Tour Operators and Travel Agents Association (ECTAA) and CzechTourism are launching a strategic partnership that will culminate in the ECTAA Annual Meeting in Prague in May 2026, bringing the most important meeting of European tourism leaders back to Czechia after more than a decade.
